The Base2 Classic rate is available only on inquiry and base Zero is cancelled from the base offer. News which probably some base-new customers or customers stand shortly before the base order should frighten. Actively marketed none of both rates more and, besides, will become the minute prices in foreign nets of from 25 to 29 cents raised. It is not subtracted with Base2-Classic also any more in 60/1 tacts (after the first minute, second-exactly) but every started minute is calculated equally completely (60/60). In principle, it should be worthwhile for no more customer on to put the Base2-Classic contract and one should look like the revised new Base2 contract.

The new Base2 rate is available from October and one pays first viertel year, the two-year-old contract term, only 15 euros per month for vollwärtige Flatrate in the E plus and in the fixed network. After the viertel year the month fee on 25 euros per month - prices increases like with the old Base2 rate. Moreover, there are as an extra 60 free minutes on all the other German mobile radio networks, therefore one can well call up 15 or 25€ in the month mobile without accessing the not free minutes. Otherwise one pays per conversation minute 29 cents, it is subtracted in 60 seconds of tact.

New customers in October a Base5 contract conclude, pay the first three months instead of 75€ of favorable 60€ and can call up therefore indefinitely on any mobile radio networks. With the special base rate “base of gold” changes, by the way, also nothing - this "businessman's mobile phone rate" costs furthermore 150€ monthly and offers 1000 free minutes in all European nets, in 3000 SMS and a mobile Daten-Flatrate.

The other: The SMS prices remain with every rate with 19 cents per SMS. Who needs a SMS-Flatrate, that is also right with base - for only other 25€ a SMS-Flatrate can be booked for all mobile radio networks in addition. Also the Datenflatrate is bookable furthermore for 25€ per month - indeed, Heavy users are screwed fast on a GPRS level. One should remain according to BASE every month with less than 10 GB - for comparison: T-Mobils and O2 already throttle from 5 GB of data.

Result: Base becomes not cheaper with the new rates, however, offers more options and the new customer's action is not bad. Unfortunately, the least contract term of 24 months is still preserved - a 12-month contract term would be friendlier to customer :)
